Sonya and Daniel gathered their friends and family from all over the world for a weekend long celebration of their marriage at Axnoller House in Dorset. Now that we sit here in a cold and wet December it’s hard to remember just how hot it was that weekend we made it into the World Cup semi-finals. Let me take you back to that Saturday in July and share this beautiful outdoor wedding complete with handmade lace, hundreds of paper lanterns and the coolest couple ever.

Axnoller House in Dorset is a beautiful country manor with barns that have been converted into luxury accommodation. This meant that Daniel and Sonya’s family, some of whom had travelled long distances to be there, could all stay on site. The front lawn is a perfect setting for an outdoor ceremony. It was beautifully decorated by Nicky Llewellyn and her team.

Sonya’s dress was created by my good friend Andrea at Mirror Mirror incorporating lace handmade by Sonya’s family. Sonya’s Mum also made all the bridesmaid dresses and was putting together bouquets right up until the last minute. Andrea was on hand for gorgeous hair and makeup keeping it simple with an up-do that didn’t have Sonya feeling too unlike herself. Despite the Oakley’s looking super cool we managed to convince her to take them off just for her walk down the aisle!

The ceremony finished just in time for the England match which was watched with great enjoyment from the marquee. The afternoon then flowed into the wedding breakfast which was broken up by speeches and went on into the evening. Sonya and Daniel finished the night off with a choreographed dance that of course they pulled off without a hitch. Seriously, coolest couple ever!
