Engagement photo shoot on the beach at sunset.

Thurstaston Beach Engagement Shoot

I’m over the moon to share this amazing Thurstaston Beach engagement shoot with you. Personally, I think it looks more like Hawaii but I’m happy to say Thurstaston is a bit closer.

We were a bit concerned about the weather as it rained earlier in the day but the forecast was dry for the evening. With some light cloud cover, I was pretty hopeful for a decent sunset. The Wirral sky did not disappoint. Karla and Chris were beautifully patient while we waited for the light and it was super fun to spend the evening with them.

Chris did a sterling job of opening the prosecco! I don’t think he’ll be allowed to open any on the wedding day!

I love the outfits that Karla and Chris decided to wear. Casual, comfortable and complimentary but not strictly matching. Apparently, Chris took the longest time to decide but I think we can all agree that he got it right in the end. I’m afraid Karla’s shoes were ruined but hopefully that sunset shot on the rocks was worth it!

Karla and Chris met while working together at The Crowne Plaza in Liverpool. After some time apart they realised what they were missing and finally got together. They will be married at Abbeywood Estate later on in the year and I’m really looking forward to their wedding day. They’re hoping for an outdoor ceremony so let’s hope their luck with the sunshine holds.

It’s been a while since I shot an engagement shoot and I’d forgotten how much I love them. You can see the last Liverpool engagement I shot here. It’s different than a wedding day because you have so much extra time. You can really play with the light and relax into the moments. Such fun!
