Wotton House Wedding Venue

Are you looking for a grand country house hotel with beautiful grounds and lots of unique features? Then look no further than the De Vere Wotton House wedding venue near Dorking in Surrey. I had the pleasure of staying here and photographing Hannah and Alex’s wedding back in April. There are so many options for you at this venue. Hannah and Alex chose to have their ceremony and wedding breakfast in the Old Library which is a beautiful pillared room with huge marble fireplaces. The pillars lend themselves to lights and floral displays to make this room unique to your wedding. The evening reception was in one of the large function rooms which are perfect for bigger groups and open onto the extensive terrace and lawns.

Wedding Photography at Wotton House

This venue really has so many photography options you are spoilt for choice. The Italian gardens are an obvious choice, being extremely beautiful and a feature of Wotton House wedding venue. I also loved the Tortoise House which is like a secret walled garden that would be perfect for an outdoor ceremony. The light here in the evening was gorgeous. Then there are endless grottos and a stream as well as woodland and huge sweeping lawns. The front of the house is also lovely to photograph for more of a grander feel. If the weather isn’t particularly kind there is lots of space indoors and some nice features that would make for some beautiful photographs. The grand staircase and huge gilt mirrors are just one example.

Hannah and Alex were very lucky with the weather. Not an April shower insight and actually quite hot. I have wonderful memories of the children paddling in the stream and running barefoot around the lawn. A beautiful day at an excellent venue in the Surrey Hills.
