I can’t tell you what a joy it was to photograph this wedding. I have never known a couple quite so excited to be married. There were tears of joy, endless laughter and a lot of kissing. Allow me to share Samantha and Charlie’s Willington Hall wedding photography.

I honestly thought Sam might explode with joy on the morning of her wedding. She couldn’t stop talking about just how much she loved her CJ and I think the one night apart already had them missing each other. All these girls are Navy engineers and the definition of girl power and yet in their strappy dresses and heels, they couldn’t have been more feminine. I loved Sam’s dress with tulle skirt and shoestring straps that showed off her tattoos. With her braided hair, she was the perfect mix of sweet and fierce.

CJ meanwhile was putting the finishing touches to the lawn games and greeting their guests. Apparently he smelled just like a groom! The ceremony took place in the conservatory at Willington Hall. It was a gorgeously hot day so guests enjoyed a drink on the terrace before taking their seats. The wait was finally over and CJ and Sam exchanged vows amid plenty of tears. Then a champagne reception on the terrace was followed by family photos including the dog. CJ’s family’s golden retriever was very happy to be included. The day flowed on to the wedding breakfast complete with tables named after cocktails and rubber duck favours as a nod to this couples Navy background.

Willington Hall ‘s open rural setting allows for gorgeous light in the early evening. Sam and CJ had a wonderful time messing around and just enjoying a few quiet moments in the last light of the day. Then it was time for some serious partying with their loved ones. The band were superb and when I left them the dancing was in full swing. An absolutely amazing day and know this Sam and CJ are going to be very happy for a very long time.
