Wentbridge House Hotel for a Yorkshire Wedding

Donna and Andy had a perfect wedding day. The sun shone, they were super relaxed and everyone had a wonderful time. Donna looked completely stunning and Andy couldn’t have looked more happy and proud as she became his wife. They were married near Donna’s childhood home in Crowle, North Lincolnshire then celebrated at Wentbridge House Hotel in Yorkshire.

The morning at Donna’s house was very relaxed. Donna chatted about Andy as she and her sisters very calmly prepared for the day. It only started to get a bit real when she looked out of the window to see the cars waiting and then it was time for Dad to see the dress. Eek, his face says it all!

The church in Crowle is very pretty and the ceremony was beautiful. The singing did go a little awry at one point which caused lots of giggling and gave Dad something to tease Donna about later in his speech. There was a few tears when remembering grandfathers with whom Donna was obviously very close. She carried a gorgeous pendent on her bouquet that held pictures of them and there were rememberance candles at the church. Both super ways to remember loved ones who are no longer with us on wedding days.

They were soon declared husband and wife and after some family photos at the church it was time for champagne in the gorgeous vintage car on the way to Wentbridge House Hotel. The weather was perfect and they had a lovely drinks reception in the garden while a magician entertained guests. After a delicious feast there were the usual speeches. The best man was nervous but he needn’t have been. His was one of the funnier ones I have heard this year! We then managed to catch some golden light for a few more portaits before heading back to cut the cake and start the dancing.

It was a gorgeous day and I thoroughly enjoyed capturing all the happiness. I hope Donna and Andy enjoy all the memories as they head off on their adventures together.
