Last summer I had the pleasure of joining Dan and Emma for their Rossett Hall Hotel wedding. It was one of the most relaxed and fun weddings of my year. The weather was glorious, the day flowed by effortlessly and I was made to feel so welcome by everyone there. It really was a superb day.
A Summer Wedding at Rossett Hall
I joined Emma and her wedding party as they made their preparations at Rossett Hall. The bridal suite is at the front of the house and overlooks the driveway from which you can keep an eye on guests arriving. There is the most beautiful bath in the corner of the room and endless options when it comes to hanging a dress, even with a train as long as Emma’s. Emma looked stunning and so tiny in her dress. You can tell by the look her Dad gave her as he walked in how proud he was.
Dan and his groomsmen arrived in matching Italian Job Minis which looked fantastic. After a few slightly nervous moments the ceremony was done and the newlyweds and their guests spilled out into the gardens to enjoy the summer day. There were drinks on the lawn with plenty of time for photos and enjoying the sunshine. The reception had a few subtle nods to Emma’s favourite TV show. The odd Tardis and some cute Doctor Who table figures. Favours in the form of cookies came from my favourite coffee shop in Nantwich. The speeches were great fun, (I love Emma hiding behind her veil!) and after more time to enjoy the gardens the day turned to evening and the dancing began.
Rossett Hall Hotel Wedding Photography
Rossett Hall is a Georgian country house hotel situated in the borderland village of Rossett. Emma and Dan fell in love with Rossett Hall the first time they visited. They loved the different rooms and bar areas where their guests could spread out. They chose to have their ceremony in the drawing-room at the front of the house which overlooks the gardens. When it comes to photography there are plenty of options at Rossett Hall both inside and out. The staircase is impressive and we included some shots in the laid-back bar area which Dan loved. We also couldn’t forget the stone sheep that sits in the gardens!
