It’s definitely feeling like autumn now so I thought it was time to share some autumnal Cranage Estate wedding photography from last year. Andrew and Helen had the sweetest wedding. They are such a lovely couple and the ceremony was so perfectly heartfelt that it had everyone a bit teary.
The day took place at the De Vere Cranage Estate near Holmes Chapel in Cheshire. Helen nervously prepared for her day with her closest friends. To say Helen is a bit out of her comfort zone as the centre of attention I think would be an understatement! She is a nurse and caring for others is second nature to her. Luckily she had her best mates with her to take care of her for once. Meanwhile, at the other end of the hotel, Andrew was checking on the final preparations before getting dressed.

Once these two met at the end of the aisle it was completely obvious that they belong together. They fit like puzzle pieces and everyone I spoke to that day including the registrars and the hotel staff all agreed what an absolutely lovely couple they are. The ceremony was really moving but when they played the Shire music from Lord of the Rings as they walked down the aisle my heart nearly burst.
It was a wet and windy day as October often is so we shot al the groups inside. This is no problem at a venue like Cranage Hall with its huge rooms and nice big windows. We managed to get outside for a few portraits with Helen and Andrew to show off the front of the hotel.
The wedding breakfast was lovely and I have to say the food was amazing. There was a huge buffet and everything I tasted was so delicious. Cranage Estate know what they are doing with buffets for sure! Helen and Andrew opted for a sweetheart table which was so perfectly them. They giggled and whispered to each other throughout before moving around to other tables and greeting and their guests. It was a wonderful day and I’ve loved looking at these images again. I hope they look back at their photos with super fond memories for all the many years to come.
