Sammi and Matt had the most lovely laid back wedding at Adlington Hall last summer. They had both their ceremony and reception in the Hunting Lodge and their whole day had an intimate family feel to it. We had some beautiful weather and were able to capture a gorgeous sunset. Sammi looked completely stunning and Matt cleans up pretty nicely too!
Sammi and Matt are keen football supporters although with Matt supporting Liverpool and Sammi a Man United fan how they ever got together is a mystery to many! There was a faint football theme running throughout the day with a themed cake and the tables named after stadiums around the world.
It was an emotional day especially for Matt’s family as his brother was taken ill before the wedding and couldn’t make it there from the hospital. Thankfully Sammi and Matt both have an amazing network of friends who were all there to support them and made it a fantastic day.
A special mention has to go to super cute flower girl Georgia. She and I are becoming quite good friends as she was also a flower girl for Beth and Rob and later this year I will see her again for Rachel and Adrian’s wedding. Love it when I become a family friend!
Sammi wore her Grandmothers ring to keep her close and her beautiful dress was found at Timeless Bride in Poynton. Shoes are Rainbow.
As you can tell I loved Sammi’s hair! She’s obviously a beautiful girl but was given a gorgeously soft and natural look by Clare at Harry Jon Hair and Makeup. Clare came to Sammi’s family home in Poynton where all the girls were getting ready.
Sammi had four friends as bridesmaids who were brilliant fun. They looked after Sammi and made sure the whole day was a celebration from start to finish.
Sammi’s Dad looked very handsome with his orange tie to match the rest of the boys. The colours of orange and peach ran throughout the day.
Flower girl Georgia and Sammi arriving at Adlington Hall House and Gardens.
Sammi and Matt chose the hunting lodge for their ceremony and reception. I love the twinkle light wrapped beams. Sammi’s brother walked her Mum down the aisle before Sammi entered looking radiant on her father’s arm.
A super sweet ceremony with some wonderful singing!
Sammi organised the VW camper van as a surprise for Matt on the morning of the wedding. It arrived to pick him and his boys up and transport them to Adlington Hall in style.
A family friend supplied a Rolls Royce so that Sammi could arrive in style too.
This little chap totally stole the show when it came to the confetti. Such a cutie!
A football theme with tables named after stadiums and football supporters cake. Wedding favours were miniature bottles of favourite drinks.
We walked a short way up the drive and across the road for a few private moments with the sunset. The sky was amazing at that time of day and I love these shots.
Never a dull moment with children at weddings. These little dudes were all brilliant.
Once the cake was cut and Matt had pretended to make his first dance a Liverpool anthem then Sammi and Matt got down to some serious partying. The band were amazing and I think you can see that everyone danced and had an amazing night. Love Sammi dancing with her brother and a couple there whose wedding will be later this year 🙂
Brilliant wedding with amazing people. Sammi and Matt, thank you so much for having me it was such a pleasure to be there with you xx
