Abbeywood Estate Garden Wedding

Sam and Jacqueline were married at Abbeywood Estate Gardens which is a familiar venue for me. This was anything but a usual wedding though. Not only was it completely beautiful but I was honestly blown away by how much love was shared not just by Sam and Jaki but by all their friends and family too. It was amazing to be there and record their day for them.

Sam and Jaki met at church and their families were already friends before they ever got together. (Sam’s brother told the story of their romance in the speeches and it was beyond cute!) I’ve never been part of a church, being of no particular religion, but I have to admit I envied the awesome community these guys have. Not to mention the singing! Jaki had said there would be some religious songs and some friends would be playing some instruments. Now, usually at a wedding I have to admit that the singing of hymns is not a high point. Even if they are well known hymns and everyone knows the words its always a bit tricky as everyone time tries to keep in time and tune. So thats kind of what I was expecting. I was so wrong. Sam and Jaki’s friends formed a band that could have rocked any party and when they sang everyone in the entire room sang their hearts out. It was beautiful and it made me cry. Its a miracle that the pictures are in focus!

After the ceremony the rain stopped and we headed out for photographs in the sunshine. We had already scouted the woods and knew we wanted to head there for some portraits too. Claire at Abbeywood did an amazing job as usual with flowers from the cutting garden and I think you will agree that the reception was beautiful. The sun shone for the end of the day and then Sam and Jaki celebrated with a ceilidh. A completely beautiful day for a truly beautiful couple. Enjoy!
