May of this year saw me shoot some Liverpool wedding photography at Oh Me Oh My for Cassie and Tom. It was the most incredible day from the bridal preparations at Cassie and Tom’s lovely home, the beautiful ceremony at Mossley Hill Church, some fun portraits on Hope Street and then a fabulous reception at Oh Me Oh My. One of my absolute favourite venues for this wonderful couple and their families.
Bridal prep at Cassie’s house was a whirlwind of champagne, makeup and happy tears. Cassie and Tom have the most gorgeous home and I loved shooting the details there. We also included Cassie and Tom’s rabbit who thought the bouquets were delicious. Check out the cake topper later on to see the subtle rabbit theme that ran throughout the day.
Mossley Hill Church
The ceremony took place at St Matthew and St James church in Mossley Hill. I love the big churches in Liverpool with their pink sandstone walls. This one is particularly lovely because of the high windows along the nave letting in lots of natural light. It also has a really long aisle which Cassie took full advantage of! She couldn’t have looked happier as she was escorted down the aisle by her two brothers.
Hope Street Wedding Photography
After some family photos and confetti at the church, we headed off to Hope Street for some bride and groom portraits. Cassie and Tom used to live nearby and walked past the suitcases on Hope Street every day. It was a super idea to get some portraits here that will mean a lot to them personally. I always love being out and about with a couple on their wedding day as everyone loves to see a bride and groom. I love it when passers-by all shout out their congratulations and the bus drivers all honk their horns and wave.
Liverpool Wedding Photography at Oh Me Oh My
Tom and Cassie then made their grand entrance at Oh Me Oh My where everyone was seated and ready for the speeches. Tom’s brother is married to Cassie’s best friend from uni and Cassie and Tom met when they all went on a skiing holiday together. How lovely is it that all these friends are now officially family!
Special mention at this wedding has to go to Maid of Honour Nicola who has worked as a wedding coordinator before and was absolutely brilliant at making sure everyone was looked after and that the day flowed effortlessly. Also, Cassie’s Grandad who was an absolute star. He and Cassie are obviously very close and it was super touching to witness such a close relationship. Take a look at the dancing photos at the end where he really got into the swing of things!
It was a beautiful day and this couple made it truly special. All my very best wishes to Cassie and Tom for a very long and happy marriage.
