I’m feeling a little under the weather today and January can be such a dismal month. So I thought I would brighten up the internet with one of my most beautiful weddings from last year. Amy and Christoph were married at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London. I love this venue for its light, bright elegant function rooms and its perfect location right on the Mall.
Amy and Christoph’s story started off as an office romance when they were both working in London. Since then they have moved to Christoph’s home country of Switzerland and have a beautiful little daughter. Christoph couldn’t be more in love with his gorgeous girls.
The two flower girls were a big feature of this wedding. I think everyone was prepared for a little disruption which can only be expected when little ones are involved. However, these two were complete angels. Ella was happy to be carried by whomever and sat patiently on Mum’s knee throughout the speeches. Connie, Amy’s neice, happily played with balloons for hours and took great care when carrying Amy’s train. So sweet!
It was a gorgeous day and I loved that we got to head outside for a drinks reception in the private garden behind the ICA. Those little hidden gardens in the middle of the city are so Julia Roberts in Notting Hill. We also managed to get out onto the mall for some city portraits. The mall looks a little different as it turned out to be the weekend of Ride London, the cycling festival. We did have to wait for all the races to be over but then we got to stand in the middle of the mall with no traffic. It’s always a bonus if I’m not at risk of being runover!
Huge congratulations to Amy and Christoph who had the most beautiful wedding. I hope to be back in London again soon.
