Nicki and Ashley decided to do things a little differently. And why not? Your wedding is about you so why not be as individual as you like? They wanted to keep their ceremony very intimate and private so they were actually married the day before on the Friday with just 10 of their closest family. The following day they had their reception at the Yellow Broom in Twemlow, Cheshire. This meant they could relax, enjoy the party and spread the celebration over the weekend. I joined them at the Yellow Broom for their reception on a gloriously sunny spring day in April.
This wedding was such a lovely family affair. I was really touched by how close Nicki is with her Mum and Dad. They were so proud of their beautiful daughter and her new husband. When Nicki danced with her Dad in evening it was really such a sweet moment. Her Mum had made all the glass decorations for the wedding cake. I’ve written about that in another post that you can read here. There were also lots of children who thoroughly enjoyed the day, blowing bubbles and playing in the fountain. I love the little bridesmaids expression when she sees Nicki’s dress!
Altogether a beautiful day and a complete pleasure to work at the Yellow Broom again. This is a beautiful little location, with such a pretty garden and great food. The owners are lovely and can’t do enough to help which gives a lovely intimate, friendly feel. I look forward to working there again soon.
