Jo’Anna and Patrick were married on a bright and breezy day in August. The ceremony took place at the Holy Family Roman Catholic church in Widnes and then afterwards at Mottram Hall in Mottram St. Andrew, Cheshire.
Mottram Hall Wedding
I first met Jo’Anna and Patrick when I photographed their son James at 7 months old. Like many of my clients they are not overly fond of posing for the camera and wanted to make sure that they didn’t feel pressured to do so on their wedding day. Having met me and had some family portraits taken they knew that it’s just not my style to be bossy and that I am more than happy to go with the flow. This was especially important as having 20 month old James as a big part of their day meant that a certain amount of flexibility was needed.
This was a true family celebration. Father O’Connor travelled over from Patrick’s home town in Ireland to officiate and family were flown in from Canada. James of course had a place of honour and it was lovely to see him surrounded by all that love. He is obviously doted on not just by his parents but by grandparents, uncles, aunts and even the groom’s friends were a soft touch where he was concerned. I wish this little family all the luck in the world as they grow together.
