Colin and Kate are getting married in just 5 days! I’ve been dying to do a couples shoot at the beach and these two were kind enough to meet me on the Wirral for some West Kirby Engagement Photography. Their wedding is in Lytham right on the seafront too so get ready for lots more sea views!
Kate has had some illness to deal with this year and I know that these two are so happy to have put that behind them. They can now concentrate on becoming Mr and Mrs. and sharing their day with family and friends.

Much like many of my couples Kate and Colin were not hugely comfortable in front of the camera to start with. We took a walk along the beach and chatted about weddings, work, family and life in general. My favourite shots are always those natural moments when couples are talking and laughing with each other rather than posing for the camera. I tend to shoot with quite a long lens so I’m not really that close and often I can’t even hear what they are saying to each other but I love the expressions and the way people react to each other. So much more authentic than saying ‘cheese’!
