I’ve been a bit busy shooting weddings through the summer and realised that I hadn’t posted any Cheshire wedding photography for a while. So to brighten up the Bank Holiday weekend here is the beautiful sunny, summer wedding of Clare and Tony. You may have seen their engagement shoot here and will remember that these two are completely gorgeous. It was such a pleasure to photograph their wedding day which was so fun and relaxed.
I started the day at Clare and Tony’s home to see the bridal preparations. Despite dying to try out her new personalised trainers Clare had managed to resist going for a run and was relaxing while having her make-up and hair done. Maid of honour Laura was more nervous than Clare as she buttoned up the dress but soon all was done, flower girls had arrived and it was time to head to the church.
Clare and Tony were married at St. Bede’s Roman Catholic Church in Widnes not far from their home. Tony had the hugest smile on his face as he married Clare in a simple and sweet ceremony. After some formal photographs in the church grounds it was time to board the red double decker bus that would take them and their guests to their reception at The Carriers Inn in Delamere. Andy at the Carriers Inn had been hard at work transforming this cozy pub into a beautiful wedding venue complete with all Clare’s decorations and special touches. I loved all the bunting, the vintage books, teacups and pastel flowers.
The food was completely delicious, (I had the fancy fish and chips!) and I loved the reactions as guests were brought ice cream desserts complete with sparklers. The speeches were lovely, (Tony made me cry!) and his best man gave one of the best speeches ever. It was all in rhyme and totally amazing.

Despite a few threatening clouds it stayed dry and warm. The band moved outside so that guests could dance on the lawn and we were able to take pictures at the lake behind the pub. Clare took her hair down and donned one of her bridesmaids headdresses for a spontaneous new look in the evening. The cake was cut outside and the party carried on effortlessly into the night. Such a lovely day and I was so happy to be there and capture it for them. I am working on their album right now which will be a gorgeous reminder for them, I can’t wait to see it finished!
